I started at Good Spirit Tai Chi Chuan only a few months ago.  My doctor recommended that I take Tai Chi classes, to help with my balance.  I find I feel uplifted after attending classes, and my balance seems to be improving already.  Nameer is very kind, and assists one on one when needed.

I first started at Good Spirit Tai Chi Chuan in 2007, soon after moving to San Antonio. I found Nameer's attention to individual student levels, functional limitations (surgery, age) and backgrounds greatly appealing. I had previously practiced aikido and found it a fairly easy transition, although I had many "bad habits" to unlearn.  His willingness to explore different methods of teaching also enhanced my experience:  from imaginative description, to demonstration of martial applications, and eventually for the more advanced students, introduction of the staff and sword as a way to extend our intent and give solidity to our form practice.   I learned moving meditation from Nameer long before I ever considered contemplation as a spiritual practice. As such, tai chi relieves stress and helps me maintain sanity in the chaos of everyday life -- not to mention the improvements in my balance, leg strength, posture and overall awareness of my surroundings.    Our small class is like a family, and everyone gets individual attention, even when we do form as a group.  For the past several years we have also participated in San Antonio's World Tai Chi and Chi Kung Day held in Brackenridge Park the last Saturday in April.  This year we would like to showcase what he have learned in sword form.   I look forward to seeing y'all, in class or in the Park in April!

I started taking classes with Nameer three years ago this month.  I was a mess physically and under a great amount of stress mentally.  I found "Good Spirit Tai Chi" online and decided to call. That was best thing I have ever done for myself.  Good Spirit Tai Chi will teach you how to grow strong in body, mind and spirit.  Nameer is a very patient teacher and allows you every opportunity to challenge yourself.   Sooooo, come join us for a workout you won't soon forget.

I have been a student of Nameer's for just over a year now , and I can't recommend his tutelage highly enough. He runs a very supportive environment with minimal ego and plenty of fun.

I find this class quite intense, calming and energizing, relaxing and challengening. Learning Tai Chi is improving my focus, coordination and balance - a great workout for both mind and body. Over time, I'm feeling much healthier, fitter and more in control, both mentally and physically.

I have been attending Tai Chi class with Nameer for the past several years. He is a very dedicated, patient teacher. He always tries to help each of his students to constantly improve and reach their full potential; in my individual case it has helped me bring more balance to my life and busy work schedule. I recommend it to anybody of any age group.
